Our commitments
Four things we make clear before we start
Here's where we stand on confidentiality, mold ownership, audits and subcontracting.
01
Worried your design could leak?
We sign NDAs
We'll sign an NDA before you share drawings, samples or product details.
02
Not sure who owns the tooling?
You own your molds
Molds built for your project belong to you, and the contract says so.
03
Want to see the real factory?
Audits & inspections welcome
Visit us yourself or send a third party to audit the factory and inspect goods. Can't travel? We'll run a video audit.
04
Worried your job will be passed to another shop?
No hidden subcontracting
Tooling, molding and assembly are done in our own factory. If a step such as plating has to be outsourced, we tell you first.
Industries We Serve
From personal care to automotive parts, we develop and manufacture plastic products for these industries, from concept through mass production.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you develop a product for me, or do you only build to print?
Yes. We take on both OEM and ODM projects. Our R&D team of industrial designers, structural engineers and electronics engineers can help with competitor research, concept design, structural development, electronics and prototype validation. Whether you bring complete drawings or just an early idea, we can support your development.
What products have you developed and manufactured?
Examples include electric toothbrushes, smart combs, timer switches, smart timers, LED lights, TRV thermostatic radiator valves, temperature sensors, heating elements, self-cleaning litter boxes, smart pet fountains, pet feeders, electronics housings, POS stands, appliance parts, automotive parts and industrial equipment housings. They span consumer electronics, home appliances, smart home, personal care, pet products, HVAC and thermal control, lighting and electrical, and automotive and industrial. If your product isn't listed, send us your files and we'll assess it.
Can one factory really handle everything from design to shipping?
Yes. We cover product design, mold making, injection molding, surface finishing, assembly, packing and shipping. You don't have to coordinate a design firm, a mold shop, a molder, a paint shop and an assembler separately, which cuts communication overhead, quality risk and project management time.
How long have you been doing this, and how experienced are you?
Hongqing was founded in 2000 and specializes in plastic mold making and injection molding. We run a 20,000 m² factory with 90+ presses from 80 to 1,300 tons and have served 300+ customers on 450+ projects, including Philips, Samsung, JBL, VTech, Honeywell, Skyworth and GAC Group. The factory is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and IATF 16949.
How do you keep my product quality consistent?
Our quality process runs from incoming material inspection and in-process patrols to dimensional checks and final outgoing inspection, backed by vision measuring systems, CMMs, temperature-humidity chambers and salt-spray testers. Mold making, molding and finishing each follow defined controls, so every delivery stays consistent.
My order is small, or very large. Will you take it on?
Production runs start at 2,000 pieces, and the unit price drops as volume grows. Pilot runs start at 100 pieces. Need fewer than 2,000? Tell us your quantity and we'll work it out. For large orders, our 90+ presses from 80 to 1,300 tons handle steady high-volume production.
Roughly how much does it cost to develop a product?
Industrial design starts at USD 1,500 per product, including 3 concepts and 2 rounds of revisions. Structural design plus one 3D-printed prototype starts at USD 3,000. For a simple product, expect about USD 4,500 from idea to first prototype, excluding electronics/PCB design and certification. Tooling is quoted per project after we review your 3D files. These are guide prices; your written quote is final.
See pricing and MOQ →
How long do prototypes and tooling take?
Prototypes start from 10 days and tooling from 30 days, depending on how complex the part and the mold are. Timing for the first production samples depends on the mold and the product, so we confirm a project schedule after reviewing your files.
Can you communicate easily with overseas customers?
Yes. We have worked with customers in China and abroad for years and know the OEM/ODM workflow well: quoting, sampling, tooling, mass production, quality approval and shipping. We keep you updated by email in English, WhatsApp or WeChat, so cross-border projects stay clear, efficient and traceable.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes. We'll sign an NDA with you before you share any drawings, samples or product information. Tooling, molding and assembly also stay in our own factory; if a step such as plating needs an outside supplier, we tell you in advance.
Who owns the molds? Can a third party audit your factory and inspect goods?
You do. Molds built for your project belong to you, and this is written into the contract. You or a third party of your choice are welcome to audit the factory and inspect goods; if you can't visit, we can arrange a video audit.
Send us what you have. We'll map out the route to mass production.
Wherever you are in development, we'll propose the right manufacturing plan, from early design review through tooling and molding to finishing, assembly and shipping, and move your project step by step to mass production.
Helpful to include: sketches, drawings or 3D files, annual volume and target market.
