How soon will I get a quote after submitting a request?
Hongqing replies within one business day of receiving your request, confirming your requirements and telling you what information is still missing. Once we have everything, we issue a written USD quote and project schedule: design work can be quoted from a written brief, while molds and unit prices require a review of your 3D files, and tooling projects get DFM review comments before the quote. How fast the quote comes back depends mostly on how complete your information is; clear key dimensions, materials and quantities speed it up. We work on China time (UTC+8).
I don't have 3D files yet. Can I still ask for a quote?
Hongqing's design quotes don't need 3D files: a short product description, reference images or sketches are enough. Molds and unit prices can only be quoted accurately after reviewing 3D files; if you don't have them, you can ask us to do the mechanical design first, or we can propose a development plan and design quote from your sketches. On the form, under "What do you have right now?", choose "Just an idea" or "Sketch or reference product", and describe the product's use, target market and target price in the project details.
My files are too large to upload. What can I do?
Hongqing's quote form accepts files up to 20 MB each, five at most. Supported formats are STEP, IGS, X_T, STL, DWG, DXF, PDF, JPG, PNG and ZIP formats. For larger files, compress them into a ZIP and upload, or email them to info@dghongqing.com; you can also submit the form, note in the project details that the files are large, and we will send you a transfer method when we reply. If you need an NDA first, tick the NDA box and send drawings after it is signed.
