Six stages your product goes through
Everything from tooling to shipping happens on one site. Here is what each stage does and what you receive.

Tooling in our toolroom
We design the mold from the DFM review and machine it on Sodick EDM, Sodick wire EDM and Makino high-speed machining centers to ±0.01 mm. We usually use S136 steel rated for 500,000 shots; tooling takes from 30 days.

Mold trials and samples
We trial the mold on presses from 80T to 1300T and check dimensions, appearance and fit. Samples go to you for approval, and we adjust the mold if needed before you confirm.

Injection molding production
90+ presses from Sumitomo, Haitian, Kawaguchi and other brands, with robotic part removal. Seven two-shot and five vertical machines handle two-shot and insert-molded parts.

Surface finishing
Six robotic spray lines apply matte, gloss and soft-touch paint, alongside pad and silk screen printing, UV printing, laser marking and conductive coating. Plating is outsourced, and we tell you in advance.

Assembly and packing
Five assembly lines run in an enclosed workshop with an air shower at the entrance. Heat-staked inserts, sub-assembly, full product assembly and sealed packing are done here.

Inspection and shipping
Four inspection gates: incoming, first article, in-process and outgoing, with sampling per GB/T 2828.1 (ISO 2859-1) AQL or your standard. Production orders take a 50% deposit, balance before shipment; FOB or EXW, with sea, air or express shipping available.

How big is Hongqing's factory, and what equipment does it have?
Hongqing's site in Qiaotou, Dongguan covers 20,000 m². Molding runs on 90+ injection molding machines from 80T to 1300T (Sumitomo, Haitian, Kawaguchi and others; 40+ above 300T, 7 two-shot and 5 vertical machines). The mold shop has Sodick EDM and wire EDM machines and Makino high-speed machining centers, working to ±0.01 mm. Finishing includes 6 robotic painting lines, 30+ pad printers and 7+ automatic screen printers. There are also 5 assembly lines and a 20-person QC team. What is the largest part Hongqing can injection mold?
Hongqing's largest press is 1300T, and its mold shop builds molds up to 1.5 m. Large housings, appliance parts, automotive components and other medium-to-large plastic parts can be trialed and produced in our own factory; we have 40+ presses above 300T. Whether a specific part can be made depends on its projected area, wall thickness, material and mold structure. Once you send 3D files, our engineers confirm which press and what mold design to use and write it into the DFM review.
Which processes does Hongqing do in-house, and which are outsourced?
Hongqing does almost every process in-house; the main exception is electroplating. In-house processes are mold design and machining, injection molding, spray painting, pad printing, silk screening, UV printing, laser marking, conductive coating, heat-set inserts, assembly, packaging and inspection. The main outsourced process is electroplating, which we disclose at the quotation stage. In other words, the main steps from tooling to shipment happen on one site, parts don't travel between factories, and quality issues can be traced to the responsible step inside our own plant.
How do I book a factory audit at Hongqing? Is a video audit possible?

The factory is at No. 6 Lingzai Lane, Lingtou Industrial Avenue, Qiaotou Town, Dongguan, Guangdong, China. If travel isn't practical, book a video audit and we will show you the mold shop, molding floor, painting, assembly and QC room live. Third-party audit firms are also welcome on site.

Hongqing is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and IATF 16949, and has passed BSCI and Sedex social audits.
