Our history
From a Shenzhen mold shop to a one-stop OEM/ODM factory
Hongqing started as a precision mold maker and step by step added injection molding, export business, product development and certified management systems, becoming an OEM/ODM factory that delivers everything from design to shipment.

2000
Founded in Pinghu, Shenzhen
Hongqing was founded in Pinghu, Shenzhen, Guangdong, starting out as a precision mold maker.
2006–2009
Moved to Qiaotou, Dongguan and scaled up molding
We moved to Qiaotou, Dongguan and expanded the molding floor, delivering everything from the mold to finished parts.
2010–2013
Started exporting
We made heating tubes for UK customers, timer switches for UK electrical brands such as Greenbrook, and outdoor and desk lamps.
2015
Built an R&D team and launched ODM
We set up industrial design, mechanical and electronics engineering teams, and added product development (ODM) to build-to-print manufacturing (OEM).
2017
Certified to three management systems
We were certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949, meeting the requirements of international brands and the automotive supply chain.
2020–2021
Expanded ODM product lines
We developed food processors, beer dispensers, water flossers, electric toothbrushes, nasal aspirators, heating pads, smart thermostats and more, for customers and under our own designs.
2026
Integrated from design to export
We added ISO 45001 and passed BSCI and Sedex audits. R&D, tooling, molding, finishing and assembly run under one system, from design through export delivery.

Integrity first
We sign an NDA before you share drawings; molds belong to you and this is written into the contract; we never subcontract behind your back, and any outsourced step (such as plating) is disclosed in advance.

Quality first
Our 20-person QC team inspects at four gates (incoming, first article, in-process and outgoing), sampling per GB/T 2828.1 (ISO 2859-1) AQL or your own standard.

Precision
Every mold starts with a DFM review and is built to ±0.01 mm; orders, equipment, products, quality and materials are all tracked in our management information system.

Who is Hongqing, and where is the factory?
Hongqing (Dongguan Hongqing Plastic Mold Products Co., Ltd.) is an OEM/ODM plastic products manufacturer founded in 2000, with a 20,000 m² factory in Qiaotou, Dongguan, China. The company has registered capital of RMB 5 million. We tool and mold to your drawings (OEM) or develop a product from your idea (ODM); R&D, mold making, injection molding, finishing and assembly are done by our own departments, and the only outsourced process, plating, is disclosed at the quotation stage. We have served 300+ customers on 450+ projects, for brands including Philips, Samsung and JBL.
How long has Hongqing been in business, and how has it grown?
Hongqing has been in business for 26 years, since it was founded in Pinghu, Shenzhen in 2000 as a precision mold maker. In 2006–2009 we moved to Qiaotou, Dongguan and expanded injection molding for one-stop production; in 2010–2013 we began exporting heating tubes, timer switches and lamps to UK customers; in 2015 we built our own R&D team and added ODM; in 2017 we were certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949; in 2020–2021 our ODM range grew to food processors, water flossers, electric toothbrushes and smart thermostats; and in 2026 we added ISO 45001 and passed BSCI and Sedex audits.
Can Hongqing handle both OEM and ODM projects?
Yes. Hongqing runs OEM and ODM projects in the same factory, with pilot runs from 100 pieces and production from 2,000 pieces. If you have 3D files or a sample, it is OEM: after a DFM review we go straight to tooling, molding, finishing and assembly. If you only have an idea or sketch, it is ODM: our R&D department first does industrial design, mechanical design and prototypes, then the project enters the same tooling and production process. Payment terms are the same, the mold belongs to you under the contract, and with ODM the design files and IP are yours once the design fee is paid.

R&D covers industrial, mechanical and circuit design plus prototyping; Tooling designs, machines and assembles molds to ±0.01 mm; Production runs injection molding, painting, silk screening and assembly; Quality has 20 people inspecting at four gates (incoming, first article, in-process and outgoing); Materials handles planning, purchasing and the warehouse; and Sales, led by Sales Manager Coya Xiang, is your single contact.
